Yankee Artifacts adds eCommerce

July 11, 2005

The Yankee Artifacts web has added online catalog pages.  Hadron Impact designed the layout for the catalog pages, and then turned the templates over to the site owner to implement.  The site owner developed and input the pictures and descriptions for each product.  This is an example of the cooperative approach taken by Hadron Impact, where we encourage customers to do as much ongoing maintenance and updates to their sites as they are comfortable with.

In addition to design work, Hadron Impact provided support and training to Yankee Artifacts to ensure that they could successfully take over site maintenance.  The Old Yankee commented "I needed to be able to update the contents of the online catalog on a daily basis.  In addition to setting up the site, Hadron Impact trained me on how to use Web authoring software and to publish my site.  Where other companies wanted to do both the Web design and to make all changes to the Web site, Hadron Impact understood my goals and needs and worked with me to achieve them."

Hadron Impact continues to support Yankee Artifacts with design and layout for the Web site, and is working on implementing backend systems for inventory and sales management.

Yankee Artifacts goes live

February 10, 2005.

The Yankee Artifacts web site has gone live.  Hadron Impact developed the overall feel of the site, created the characters, wrote the stories, and developed the graphics for this site.  In addition, Hadron Impact will be developing additional content for the site and driving its evolution.  The long term goal for this site is to tell an ongoing story and to evolve into an eBusiness site.

Hadron Impact not only designed and wrote the site, but also provided the owner with support in obtaining the Internet domain and Web hosting.

The owner of Yankee Artifacts, immortalized on the site as "the Old Yankee" stated: "I was pleased with the way Hadron Impact captured exactly the look and feel that I wanted.  They told the story in a lighthearted way that makes people enjoy going to the site.  Not only did they create the Web site, they also created the Yankee Artifacts name, registered the Internet domain, and took care of Web hosting.  I strongly recommend Hadron Impact to anyone who needs an online presence or marketing support."
